New Area and New Comp--A Fellow Utahan!

Dear Family,

Well, I am not in Atlatlahuca anymore. I got to move into a new area, and I already love my new companion and my new area. I have more areas in my district and I have a lot of great elders and sisters. I had a great week last week in Atla because we got five people to come to church, and we had a baptism for the sisters in the other area. We also found a few families in some other pueblos that look like they will progress. I won't ever know, but I know that I did my best there; it was way hard, but I learned a ton.

My new companion is Elder K. from PAYSON, UTAH and I am in the Ward Universidad. It is the center of Toluca if you want to use Google maps to see where I am. I love this new area. For some reason I do better out here in the cities. I don't know why, but it just works better for me. My new companion is really new.  It is only his third change, and it is my sixth. I feel a little old in the mission because a lot of the older missionaries are leaving. They have helped me a ton. I only have eight months behind me, but I love how much I have grown and developed. I really have learned how to do the work effectively and how to do things well--not just well but a good job well done [if that makes sense]. I have learned so much this last week. I can't explain how much I love the scriptures and how much I want to get better every day. I'm once again district leader here and from what it sounds like, I have a great opportunity to grow here.

I have learned from the past few weeks to never look back but to remember what you left behind. Where you look is where you will go, but remembering the mistakes you have made and looking forward is how we can progress even faster.

love this work and, Mom, my birthday was, well, a normal day in the field so nothing much cool happened. Well, I hope that you all have an awesome week, Family!

Love,

Elder Thompson
