Dear Family,
The answers to your questions are this: No, I will never go to the temple here in Mexico during my mission. I was transferred to Lerma, Teconologia. It is considered a pueblo. A pueblo is pretty much a really poor area but to tell you the truth here is so nice; it is very relaxed and I can’t ever say enough about the people here. They are just amazing. My new companion is Elder Aranda. He is on his last transfer he is from Panama and he wants to have 5 baptisms this month. We are going to do it. I did not get to see Elder Costello this transfer when we met with the other missionaries. I did, however, get to see Elder Flois who was in my district in the MTC. I was very happy to see him, and he is in my zone I believe.
I am worried for Jordan and I pray he will get better. I will keep him in my prayers and I pray his family is okay as well. Anna, you are getting taller--this is weird! Lane looks like a stud rocking on his guitar. The photos are amazing and I was so excited when I got this email. My plan with the pictures was to buy different memory cards and send them home when they get full right now I am almost full on my memory card. I hope everything else is awesome at home!
Well, this past week was awesome. We had a baptism that didn’t work out but I had the opportunity to baptize another person! WHOOO! His name is Raymundo. He is hilarious because he knows English and he just says the weirdest stuff. It is super funny. The service was just like the first one and the spirit was so powerful and I have never had such an enthusiasm for baptisms. I want to baptize every week. I also got to eat some really good food this week and I loved it (Pizza Hut, Domino's, hamburgers and other cosas) My new area is way different than the one before. The one I am in is very similar to home kind of small town and a couple big stores. My other area had a ton of hills and was a lot like Salt Lake City and everyone was rushing to get to places. I have had so many good experiences and I am learning how to be positive and how to be a successful missionary. It all depends on your desire to serve find teach and baptize. It says that in Preach My Gospel. I have realized that I have taken the church kind of for granted. I never realized the blessings of the temple and of our gospel. We have the opportunity to have families forever. We have the opportunity to become like Christ and to teach people about him and how we can return to him. I have also learned what it means to be a missionary that returns with honor. Dad, Thank you for being one. I have seen your example and I am trying to follow the example of you and others. A missionary that returns with honor is one that comes home and continues the work of salvation with all of his heart mind and strength. I am learning so much about the gospel and I love it. I love personal study. I just love the mission. Lane, I hope you come to this mission; it is just amazing. I have been writing to Elder Thompson and Elder Cluff and they have been having amazing experiences as well and they have also given me very helpful advice. I am working so hard and I always have room for improvement. Dad, if you have any advice for me like ideas for finding teaching or anything that comes to mind, please let me know.

I am almost done reading the Book of Mormon and I am in the book of Mormon and I personally think that it is by far the saddest book, There is one part where Mormon and his people are struggling against the Lamanites and the begin to repent but for the wrong reasons. The repented to be saved from their enemies and not for the love of Christ. Mormon even said that when he saw this he rejoiced until he discovered the real reason then he said his joy was in vain. I hope that we all are coming unto Christ because we love him and want to be better and be like he is.
I hope that Jordan gets better and I hope that everyone is happy at home.
Los Amo,
Elder Thompson
