What a week! So here is the news: Yes, I have a Walmart in my zone, Yes, the area is poor but I have a bigger apartment, AND I FIGURED OUT HOW TO SEND PICS!!! HAHAHA win! So you will be receiving pictures today! We also had another baptism and my new companion is the bomb!! Turns out that Elder R. taught me nothing. However, my new companion is teaching me how the prophets want me to teach find and baptize which is how the Lord wants me to work. I also am going to receive mail this week from you guys!
My new area is the best area in the world; I am not kidding. The people here are just so chill and I love it here. They are very willing to listen and we get a lot done like contact over 100 people 70 plus lessons. I also have to teach English every week to my district because my companion is the district leader haha. Like I said, we had another baptism this baptism was bien poderoso. When we had the service, my companion baptized her and after she came up out of the water she began praying!! I don't know what she was praying about but the spirit was so strong. I can't even tell you all how much I love baptizing. After we had pancakes and you all know I LOVE PANCAKES! I want to tell you so much and I know that this is a bunch of jumble but oh my goodness I want to just tell it all.
My new companion has quite the conversion story. When he was 15 he found the missionaries and threatened them with a machete; however, his family was contacted and his parents let the missionaries in. Well, he listened and believed and was baptized and after his baptism his family told him that they were all baptized years before but they went inactive and that they were sorry for not telling him!! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? haha. It is amazing too. He is from Panama and he didn't know Spanish when he came into the mission because he is from the islands around Panama so he has his own language and it is super cool.
Mom, thank you for the pictures. I busted up laughing when I saw them. Tell Kinsie not to worry about sending me mail because I can read it, I'm just not supposed to write back. I fasted for Jordan today in hopes that he will recover quickly. Mom,I am extremely grateful for all that you have done for me in the past. Please forgive me for my crazy temper and actions. I love you so much and I know that forever your baby I will be. I have been learning so much about how to identify and teach to the investigators' needs and why it's important. I also have learned how important it is to always improve and learn. I love the time in the mornings when we get to study for hours I am not going to lie, I love this part of the day. Only when we work is when I am 100 percent happy. I hope that all is well at home and enjoy the pictures!!
