Do you do baptisms on Sunday? If so, are they before or after sacrament meeting? How does it work usually?Yes, they are after so that the members can see it.
Have you gone anywhere fun on P-day lately? We went to a mall called Galerias Toluca, the nicest mall I have seen in my life.
Are you and Elder Kennington still getting along well and rockin' the mission thing? Yes. Are you playing his violin/viola much? No, because it's against the rules to even have it so we haven't touched it since the activity with President
Do you need me to send you more shoes? Anything? Include specs if the answer is yes.I don't need new shoes yet. However, please send me more music please. EFY and MOTAB. ONLY
Do you know how much you are loved?Yes, I know and it's
awesome!
Well, Family, this week went right on by. I can't believe that I am in week 5 of my 6th change. I am kind of scared because in two more changes the countdown begins. Changes here are 6 weeks each. I know that this last Christmas was super fun [the milestone of talking to the family], but I won't deny that am super scared because May is just around the corner [another milestone] and it is just sad because the mission is so short. I wish I could stay for so much longer, but life continues.
I am so grateful for this area like, you people don't get it.
It's so nice here; however, it is still hard. My Spanish needs to get better I am not going to lie. There is always improvement there to be made.
Well, I can't deny this area is golden. This area has just the
best people in the whole mission I have ever met. Investigators bringing themselves to church. People getting baptized like crazy. The success is amazing. I cannot say anything but just thank you. The Lord has blessed us so much in this area. I could not ever complain about this
area.
I will keep the Gilstrap family in my prayers. That must have been such a hard decision. I hope that we all learn from the experiences we have had and move forward with the memories for comfort. I won't deny, my first date was quite the story. I will never forget it. I am so grateful for them. Actually, Kyler, I want to give a personal thanks. You have been such an example to me. It was really your example that I always tried to follow. Thank you for that. Sister Gilstrap (the one that is one the mission.), I hope that your mission
will be full of blessings as you dedicate all your time and effort to the Lord. I know this must be one hard moment for you, but I admire your courage and strength. Sister and Brother Gilstrap, I could not do near justice with words what each of you have done for me. I wish I could express all I want to say, because you have been such a great help in my life. Thank you.
I know that families can be together forever and that is the biggest thing that attracts investigators. The people of Mexico are so family centered that sometimes they don't know even who lives next door to them.
I hope that all is well at home and thank you for all your prayers in my behalf. I feel them every day. Seriously, if it wasn't for your prayers, the miracles would not be happening here in the mission. Thank you, ward family!
Love,
Elder Thompson
