Dear Family,

Hey everyone!

Holy cow, this has been such a rush of a week. I am worried for Elder Costello but hope the best for him. It was so nice to hear your voices before I came to Mexico. I really do miss you, and it is okay that I didn't get to talk to Kinsie--as much as I would have liked to, it is okay.  Sorry about your track team, Mom. I guess it's time for a motivational speech! I hope that Anna gets better because I'm in the same boat. I have a little cold, but don't worry, it's not that bad. However, this past week in Mexico has been such an experience.

THE DRIVERS ARE INSANE!! OH MY GOODNESS. It is beautiful but holy cow is it different. The weather here is perfect. I am not even kidding-- 24/7 it is amazing. My new companion is a native from Mexico and we get along okay, but he speaks no English... so it gets frustrating sometimes. I have had to speak in Spanish so much that it is actually kind of hard typing in English again.

The people here are so kind--like I can't even express that enough. They are so patient and willing to listen. I have had the opportunity to contact people in the streets and wow is it hard. I go home and crash. Oh, my apartment is so small--like tiny. It is maybe the size of my room at home and the bathroom too. Okay, I would give you my mail address but mail takes over a month to get here. Elder Rodriguez (my new companion) broke his ankle, so now I am with the district leaders, and it is so fun. Even though I can't speak the language, its still so fun to tell people about the gospel. By the way, I am only allowed to email family. I am not allowed to email friends at all. Guys and girls who are my friends...if they want to talk to me, they have to do that through you or letters.

I have to get off now, but I hope everything is awesome at home. Everything is great here! I LOVE YOU ALL.

Elder Thompson
