The Last Letter from the MTC

Dear family,

Thank you for your encouraging words! Lane, I sent a letter today and
it should be coming soon. It's a good one! Mom, just some fun news for
you... I will be calling you this Mothers Day.Yes, I know that before
you weren't allowed to, however, this is the first time that the MTC
has the ability to do this, so they have offered it to everyone here.

This has been a month of firsts. Since I have arrived it has been
crazy. This is the first time 4 apostles have come to the MTC four
times in a row. that has never happened before. Also when President
Uchtdorf came That was the first time in twenty years a member from
the first presidency has come. Also, last Sunday the President of the
MTC came to our sacrament meeting and we got to bear our testimonies
to him. And, today we will hear from another apostle so that makes it
5 since I have been here. 

Here is a list of all of them and what they
talked about:
Neil L Anderson: Teaching through the scriptures
Dieter F Uctdorf: Have no fear of man
Dallin H Oaks ( if I remember right this is moms favorite): Using your
time wisely
D Todd Christopherson: Having patience in afflictions

This will probably never happen again, and like I said, this is also the first time
that missionaries at the MTC will be able to call their moms on
Mother's Day. THE LORD HAS SPOILED ME. I cannot be more grateful. I
have been receiving answers to my prayers daily! Do you know how
amazing that is? Every day something is answered. Maybe not the way I
would like it but it still always works out, and I have trust in the
Lord to do the best thing. I cant express all of my gratitude because
it would just take up this whole letter. 

So I will call home at 2 30 pm. I will have thirty minutes to talk to all of you!! By the way, I
sent another letter to Mom and just to Mom, but tell Dad practice
Spanish because I want to talk to him in Spanish and only Spanish
because I have wanted to see if he can still do it. I am so excited to
hear your voices. I have also wanted to get Elder Cluff's and Elder
Thompson's Addresses so that I can write them. My address is going to
change soon so I will send mine next week. 

Okay, but these last few weeks
have been a crazy ones! Alright so I have been teaching this REAL
investigator his name is Alan. He is from New York and he has never
heard of the gospel before. he is catholic but he doesn't attend
often. We had such great meetings with this guy. By the way, I found
out how you can tell if the investigator is legit or not. You look for
the garments. HA! I win! This man Alan is so amazing he has taken all
of our teachings so well we have taught him the plan of salvation to
the first vision and the ten commandments. I am finished teaching him
and has believed everything we have said and he wants to be
baptized!!!! However because of certain things he has to wait for a
month before he can have that happen. I am so excited for him. I wont
do the baptism but I got to help him come to Christ and that is all
that matters. 

This is my last week here at the MTC after this next
Monday I will be shipped to Mexico City and I will be speaking Spanish
24/7. The MTC is an amazing place. My Spanish is coming along and I
realize that I need to work on it a lot. I'm so excited to serve the
people down there! I love you all. Party hard without me and tell
everyone at home I say hi!
