Dear Family,
Okay, I am so excited to tell you everything that is happening. First, this week was awesome the drought ended of no shows at church. We got an investigator to church!!! WHOOO-HOOO! We also now have 7 future dates for baptisms. Elder Romo and I are working so hard. We go home and we are just dead tired.
Second, well, I started to learn how to lighten up and have fun with things. For example, there is this bus that drives super fast. In Mexico they have speed limits but nobody cares so the government put like topes (???) in the streets to help slow down the traffic. But the buses don't care either, so we hit those little jumps at like 45 miles an hour and everyone on the bus catches air--one of the best parts of the day.
Third, Elder Romo and I have now become best friends and we have just clicked when it comes to working with investigators. We also have like 20 plans for after our missions: we plan to go party in New York and return to Mexico to name just a couple.
I don't believe how fast time is flying by and how different things are at home. I wish to tell Lane to work hard before his mission and Anna wow....8th grade.... if I find out about boys. . . they don't stand a chance... I will destroy them. With scriptures of course. I hope that our family is doing okay and that Grandpa and Grandma are doing better. Well, I understand that Dad is tired...me too, so we are in the same boat there. Mom, well, is always awesome. Lane, work hard and keep your thoughts in holy places. Anna, silencio, hermana. jk.
I can't believe that Andrew had to come home for a while. Poor guy, he probably is not happy. Wow, Derrick is home already? That is crazy to me. Robin Williams. . . well, that is just sad.

Okay. part two about my comp:
Elder Romo is a former wrestler who took tenth at state and he is just a fun guy. His family lives in Utah right now and his mom coaches a basketball team. She has won 12 years at state... Wow. Anyway, he has some awesome stories and we get along great. I love you all. The scripture study thing--KEEP DOING IT!!!
Love you all.

Dear Family,

First, I just want to say that (referring to the picture of Kinsie catching Carissa's bouquet) is probably the funniest thing I have seen in a while. HAHA! Oh, that is too fun.
Well, I'm sorry that you're in school, but I can't deny; I love not having homework. I still can't believe
Derek is home and Kayla too wow. Time for me is also flying by. Did you people know that next month will be my fifth month in the mission? Holy cow. I can't believe it.Carissa and Parker's wedding I have heard about it and well, I am not going to lie. . . that is an awesome picture. I can't believe how different everything is.
Dean and Derrek have an awesome story that I want to hear the end to! Thank you for all the prayers you
have been giving; they really help. For example for 5 weeks, people, 5 weeks we had hardly any of our investigators come to church. Well, this week something amazing happened: all of our fechas and more came to church!!! 7+ people Do YOU KNOW HOW RARE THAT IS!!??? Elder Romo has been here almost a year and he said he has never seen this happen. We have been so blessed this change. I don't know what is different, but I am loving it. Seriously.
Funny story: Last night we were walking on our way home at about 8:30 at night and, well, as we were walking, a lot of cars were going by in the street and I saw a little thing hop in the road! IT WAS A FROG! Elder Romo and I decided to play Frogger with this little frog and we guided it to the other side of the street. HAHA!
Elder Romo and I have been working hard as well. We have really tough goals to complete every week and one of them is baptize every week and bring 12 people to church. This week we found a miracle and we are going to have a baptism this weekend. We are super excited!! Also, today was interview day with President Whitehead. He gave me a good talk about stepping up for the next change and says he has grande expectativas para mi. He also let me know that I will probably be a zone leader and a district leader... but I don't know when. AHHHH! a little scary but I just need to get ready for it. I am so grateful for the package, Mom. Thank you for the books. It was a little expensive but thank you for it. Thank you for the pic of the family too and, ANNA, HOLY TALL GIRL!!! Did you like explode last month? Kinsie, well, ATTA GIRL!
Love you all,
Elder Thompson
