1. Thank you for the pictures. Lane, why are you so tall and Anna as well? I feel like I am shrinking every day, but I weighed myself last week and well, I'm fat...155, people.... Yeah, I have cut back on the Coke. 2. DAD, holy cow, you look so different. 3. Well, my week has been full of a lot of drama... not going to lie.
So I have a great story, Elder Romo and I were walking and contacting like crazy. Well, we contacted two
different people at once I got a name and a number and well we are going to visit him tomorrow.
Elder Romo had a different story, the person he contacted was a Testigo de Jevoah and partly something else. He came and he came to bible bash, people. He had so many scriptures, it was crazy. First it was just like "What is the name of God, do you know? Do you know?" Yes, I know of course I do, but I don't want to use the name of thy Lord the God in vain (second commandment of the ten commandments). Well, we started to explain the first vision and how we have a prophet that has received the proper authority to administer ordinances. Well, he just started going off saying it's impossible to see visions and revelations... which means he does not have faith or a belief in God--the true God-- because god does not change, and if he did miracles in the past he can do them now so ha! Well, he wouldn't listen and he looked at us and YELLED very loudly, "You don't have authority!" He then pointed his chubby finger and tapped my gafete and yelled, "This means nothing! You have nothing!" My companion finally yelled, "Shut up! You are making a scene, and if you didn't want to listen just, say so. But I Know this is true I don't care that my name is on here; all I care about is that my gafete has the name of Jesus Christ on it, and if you can't respect his name, how can I expect you to respect me? Hasta luego." In this moment the Spirit was so strong I felt like we were on fire. We vented a little bit later and, yeah, that was that.
Our seven baptism dates are looking so good and we found another family and we are hoping to get them ready. We also found out that our zone is not doing so well--a lot of apostasy. Sad really, but other than that, everything else has been great. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. We have the a prophet today that leads and guides the church under direct revelation from God. I know that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was essential for our salvation and that we must enter by the straight and narrow gate or we cannot be saved. Commandments are not rules; they are opportunities for blessings. They are guidelines to have a happy life forever. We are here to be obedient to the commandments of God and to obtain eternal progression. I know that this church is
true. I say these things in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
